CYNTHIA LANGE

Cynthia Lange graduated from Iowa State University with her B.A. in Political Science in 2001.  She received her Juris Doctorate from Drake Law School in 2004.  She was then admitted to the Iowa Bar in 2005.  Cynthia joined the Marberry Law Firm, P.C. in May 2005 as an associate attorney, assisting clients mainly in the areas of family, juvenile, and criminal law until October 2007.  After her tenure at the Marberry Law Firm, P.C., Cynthia was hired on at EMC Risk Services where she managed workers' compensation and general liability claims for large-deductible and self-insured clients.  She left EMC Risk Services in 2009 to start her own law practice.

Cynthia is currently a member of the Iowa State Bar Association, Polk County Bar Association, and a board member of the Polk County Organization of Women Attorneys.

Cynthia has lived in the Des Moines area since the age of 3, and is proud to be a citizen of Iowa.  Both Cynthia, and her husband, Jared Lange, strive to be civic minded in the Des Moines area and the surrounding communities, through both their jobs and extracurricular activities.  Jared is a high school teacher at Van Meter High School, in Van Meter, Iowa, and is starting his 6th year teaching in that community in the areas of English, Speech, and Theater.  Cynthia has been a long time member of Plymouth Congregational Church, and works to promote the church's message of progressive thinking and acceptance of all creeds and backgrounds.  When not working, they enjoy frequenting local restaurants and supporting small locally owned businesses in the area, camping at Saylorville, Red Rock, and Aquahbi, and trying wines at the many various local wineries in the area.
